Canoe trips in the Gorges du Tarn
Several courses exist with different characteristics (technical level, environment, distance) we propose here those which seem to us the most interesting:
Sainte-Énimie / La Malène : a journey turned towards the architecture of the villages. You will pass the lavandou, a beautiful natural pool where you can make a jump of 6m and for the more adventurous another 10m, the village of Saint-Chély (one of the most beautiful villages of the Gorges du Tarn) with its magnificent waterfall, the castle of Caze, now a gourmet restaurant and the hamlet of Hauterive which has the distinction of being accessible only by the river.
La Malène / The Pas de Soucy : a course oriented towards the natural beauty of the gorges. You will engage in the famous site of "les détroits", magnificent wild canyon lined with paradisiac beaches, will exceed the village of Crose which also reaches itself only by the river, stop at the rock of the mushroom or jumps of different heights are possible to then lead to the famous "cirque des Baumes", high place of climbing where the arrival of your descent will be in a breathtaking setting.
Les Vignes / Le Rozier : a more technical course and more volume in the spring reserved for the most resourceful. You will start the descent by crossing the slide of the dam of "Les vignes", make a stop to discover the cave of the swallows, then after several technical passages you you will arrive at the village of "La sablière" where you will have to cross the most technical rapid of the descent to arrive at Le Rozier, pretty village typical of the gorges located at the confluence of Tarn and Jonte.

Organization of the activity
The meeting will be directly at the base of the canoe rental where you will be welcomed by your guide who will give you all the explanations on the organization of the descent and who will define with you the educational theme of the session.
After having equipped yourself and the safety briefing, you will start the activity with an introductory session where you will learn the basics of canoeing, safety techniques and group navigation.
The descent then begins with the passage of the first rapid where the guide will correct the basic errors and help those who present difficulties. The rest of the course will then be at your own pace, punctuated by regular stops with explanations of the fauna and flora of the gorge, moments of swimming, rock jumping, floating and group games.
The return shuttle will meet you at the point of arrival to take you back by minibus to the base of the renter.
Attention : the price corresponds to the commitment of the guide, it does not include the rental of the canoes.
