8 km of descent in class 2/3 where are connected many rapids without major difficulty, supervised by an experienced guide in the heart of the valley of the Lot and its green frame.
Activité feasible on saturday, sunday in spring, autumn and depending on the water levels.
For this activity, it is compulsory to know how to swim.

Description Canoeing : Rafting on the Lot River
You will have an appointment at the base of the cottages Booz (about 40 mns from the gorges du Tarn), where your guide will welcome you. You will be equipped with specific equipment for rafting: an integral suit, a high-river life jacket, a white water helmet, a raft paddle, and a pair of neoprene socks.You just need to bring a pair of shoes that can go in the water (type trainers).
From there a short shuttle will take you in ten minutes to the embarcation point located 8 km upstream of the base. After a safety briefing where the guide will explain you the techniques of paddling in rafting and the action to take in case of falling in the water, you will embarkfor the beginning of the descent.
This rafting course near the Gorges du Tarn starts with the "Devaloir" rapids to follow a short flat zone with a more technical class 3 rapids where you have to slalom to avoid a succession of blocks located in the center of the rivere.
Then you will chained with the passage of a big drossage class 2 wich leads to large wave trainswithout much difficulty. You will arrive at the Salmon bridge and again a relatively technical breakthrough to cross. You can see in the distance the typical village of "Montjezieu" and its medieval castle.
Then follows a succession of class 2 rapids that end on a flat current area to arrive at the entrance to the pond Booz, the finish point of the descent.
You can take the opportunity to visit after the activity the typical village of "La canourgue" nicknamed "the Venice from Lozere" because of its manythrough channels.

How to get here:
- From Sainte-Énimie - 40 min drive : Take route 907 bis then D998 towards La Canourgue. Then cross Banassac as if to take the highway. Then take direction Saint-Germain-du-Teil by the D809 along the Lot. After a few kms, you will come to a roundabout. The meeting point is at the base of the Boos chalets on your right.
